Chimu
The Moche civilisation disappeared, probably because of major floods linked to the Nino phenomenon. The Chimu took over and built huge adobe palaces.
Moche
between Huanchaco and Trujillo, the Moche (pre-Inca civilisation) built the Temple of the Moon and the Temple of the Sun:
