Youth training

2 x 4 hours of training today: 2 groups of university students from Enfants du Mekong charity, one on personal finance and one on introduction to business. Very reactive - a great day!

 Good to train again. Today was a small group and I ran the second level of Training the Trainers. We came up with interesting ideas on how to help their low income clients. Next session on Monday- in between, training of students on Saturday and Sunday (who said I was on holiday?).

I changed hotel to be nearer to the Enfants du Mekong center (3 minutes walk!). Very Chinese hotel- more up market than yesterday's.

24 hours in HK

2 meetings (including over lunch), 1appointment, 1 errand and 1 dinner - a quiet day in Hong Kong!

Finally there! On Monday, Denzil "snow-blew" the 10 inches of snow on the drive way and drove me to the airport on more or less clean roads. We had a further delay (30 minutes, but we were 20 hours late anyway!) because the caterer van was stuck in the snow somewhere (they had initially announced there would be no food service at all during the 12 hour flight- so we were all ready to wait a bit more for the van!). Once the  nearly empty plane was de-iced (pink then green de-icing), it finally took off.

Six hours in connection in Tokyo where  I could try the public lounge - a desk and a plug were all I need! I opened the nice birthday card from Denzil and the boys and they served a slice of chocolate cake in the plane Tokyo- Hong Kong, only the candles were missing!

Delayed

My bag was packed 12 hours before leaving (amazing!). I was supposed to take off today and arrive on Monday night in Hong Kong. The snow came in the way.  I should leave on Monday and now have to squeeze several meetings and training in one day.
For once I organise a birthday party... I have to reschedule it. And ... with the time difference, my birthday will only last 12 hours!!
